Day 1| International flightDay 2| Arrival at Cape Town
Welcome to Cape Town, South Africa! Upon arrival a Uniktour representative will welcome you and assist you with luggage collection. You will then be whisked away for a quick transfer to your hotel, the Cape Cadogan.
The Cape Cadogan is a unique luxury boutique hotel situated in a premier Cape Town neighborhood along trendy Kloof Street. Here, the pulse of the city comes alive and guests will delight in the eclectic offerings of local merchants. Strolling along Kloof Street you'll find an interesting mix of coffee shops with outdoor tables, restaurants, night clubs, and shops filled with beautiful African art, clothing, and other treasures. The Cape Cadogan is an award-winning property, well known for its luxury accommodation. It is a dream of whites and creams and the staff is well prepared to spoil you from the moment you arrive. Your accommodations are in the luxury category, which makes for a welcome respite and an exquisite pleasure after a long day of sightseeing and touring. Refresh and relax upon arrival, or stretch your legs and wander along Kloof Street for a lovely meal. Day 3| Cape Town and Winelands Tour
This morning, rise early for a delightful breakfast at the Cadogan. You will be met by your guide and then depart for your day tour of the Cape’s Vineyards. Along the way, you will want to keep your camera at the ready as the views are incredible. The Winelands region has the perfect mix of soil, rains, and temperatures to create incredible vines of plump red and white grapes. You will take a private tour of some of South Africa's finest wineries and get a behind-the-scenes look at the wine-making the process. Enjoy a variety of samples. Should you wish to purchase wines, your guide will be delighted to arrange a shipment to your home, if possible.
Stop at a lovely location and enjoy a nourishing lunch before continuing on your tour of the Winelands region. At the end of the day you will find yourself back in your luxury hotel and the evening is yours to dine in one of Cape Town's fabulous restaurants. Day 4| Cape Town and the Cape Point Tour
Awake refreshed this morning in the luxury of your comfortable suite. Breakfast at the Cadogan is a special affair. The staff provides an abundance of fresh fruits, juices, and pastries, as well as fresh farm eggs and a delicious assortment of other goodies to make sure you start your day off right. After breakfast, you will be met by your private guide and depart on a full-day private tour of Cape Point. Make sure your camera batteries are fully charged for this leg of the journey as the coastline along the Indian Ocean offers some of the world's most breathtaking sights. Watch as dolphins dance in the waves near the shoreline and look for whales during the Southern Right Whale migration season. Along the way you can stop at botanical gardens, galleries and shops that are certain to tempt you with a keepsake or two.
The tour includes a visit to a Penguin colony where guests can view hundreds of busy penguins marching back and forth from the shore to the sea. Later in the day, you will stop for a leisurely lunch and a stop at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, where you will experience a magical afternoon of indigenous flowers and before returning to Cape Town. The gardens are known across the world and represent an extremely interesting stop for all visitors. This evening is on your own for dinner. Perhaps a recommended Kloof Street restaurant is on the venue and if so – enjoy! Afterward, stop at a cafe and grab a sidewalk table for dessert and a beverage before returning to the Cadogan. There are upscale nightclubs in the area, should you have the need to burn off some excess energy! Day 5| Cape Town - Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve
This morning, relax over a fresh breakfast. Enjoy your coffee from the hotel or, should you wish, escape to one of the sidewalk cafés for a latte or other special drink. Your Uniktour representative will meet you in the lobby of the hotel where you will be transferred to the airport. Here you will board a pre-arranged flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Once in Johannesburg, you will be met by a representative who will help you connect to your chartered flight (included in your itinerary). In no time, you will be touching down at Sabi Sands Private Reserve. Here, your safari vehicle and game driver will be waiting for your plane to arrive for introductions to be made. Once your bags are loaded, you will be off and your transfer to the lodge will take no time at all. Along the way you will most likely spot a large assortment of grazing game such as kudu, gemsbok, springbok, duiker and perhaps a giraffe or two.
Upon arrival, you will be met by the lodge host and a refreshing fruit juice or cocktail will be chilled and presented. After a brief introduction, you will be escorted to your room where your host will show you your luxury suite. You may be amazed at the size of your suite – or better said, two wings connected by a deck and plunge pool! Each side of your suite is fully glass-enclosed for optimum viewing of the river. A spotting scope is provided and generally a large assortment of animals comes to the river to drink or rest under the shade of a tree.
Relax in your suite and unwind. If lunchtime is near, a meal will be brought to your suite where you can enjoy the plunge pool and the delicious food. Your host may suggest a CD to listen to as you relax in the pool – the sounds of African jazz drift from the outside speakers of your suite as relax in the warm water of your pool, gazing across the river – watching a herd of elephants as they play and drink in the river.
Later in the afternoon, you will meet at the main lodge where your game driver will be waiting. Your night safari is an exciting moment as this is the optimum time to view animals that have emerged from the heat of the day, slowly wakening and hungry for a meal. The big cats – lion, leopard and cheetah – can be found at this time and your ranger will make every effort to find them for you. In addition, the large grazers such as elephant and giraffe are in abundance here in the Reserve. Stop as the sun sets to watch a massive bull, or tusker, pull the tender leaves from the trees as he watches over his herd. Your driver will find an ideal location for your evening Sundowner, a long-standing African tradition. Drinks of choice will be served along with a lovely array of finger foods, fruits, and nuts. Continue on your safari after dark and watch for the eyes of the night. Return to the lodge in time to freshen up and dress for dinner. Ivory Lodge is well known for their cuisine and the chef here seems to have a magical touch. A large wine selection is available as well as house liquors, beers and more. Dinner can be in either the dining area or in the boma. Either way, it's a culinary feast you will never forget. Accommodation: Ivory Lodge. Meals: B, L, D.
Days 6 & 7| Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve
For the next two nights, enjoy the incredible activities and amenities of the lodge. Should you wish, you can opt for an in room spa treatment from the large spa menu of Ivory Lodge. Local muds and herbs are the highlight of the spa products and a delight for the senses in every way. In addition, Ivory Lodge has a fully equipped gym that guests are free to use: you can work out with state-of-the-art machines in a glass enclosed large room with a view of the river. Imagine using a stair climber while watching a pride of lions and their cubs at play!
Morning game drives leave just before dawn and are very special moments. This is the time of the day when animals are most active, as those who have not had success earlier in the night are still on the hunt. The coolness of the African bush descends on all the animals and it is a welcome relief for activity. On particularly chilly mornings, your driver will have warm blankets and hot water bottles at the ready to keep the chill away. After you return from your game drive, a large and delicious breakfast awaits you. It is a safari tradition at Ivory Lodge that guests have a wide variety of choices.
Eggs cooked to order, full English breakfasts, fruits, muesli, yogurts, juices and of course, fresh coffee is waiting for each guest after game drives. Relax with a book on your private deck, take a power nap between game drives or depart with your game ranger on an afternoon bush walk. There is something quite exhilarating about walking in the African bush with an armed ranger and it is an unforgettable experience that you will treasure forever.

Day 8| Cairo
Transfer to Cairo! Upon arrival, you are greeted by your Egyptologist guide, who will be your private escort for the next three days. As part of the Uniktour signature services, you will enjoy advance check-in to your hotel, which means all the work is done for you in advance. You can proceed straight to your room to catch up on additional sleep or just unwind and relax. For the remainder of your day you are free to enjoy the many amenities of this classic luxury hotel. Discuss options for spa treatments with your Uniktour representative or use the incredible pool or gym facilities at the hotel. Your room will be luxurious with an incredible view of the Nile. The hotel has a fabulous restaurant and bar and the staff will see to it that your every wish is fulfilled.

Day 9| Cairo
Good morning! Awaken refreshed as you gaze out your window towards the Nile River. This morning, you will meet your guide for a full day of sightseeing and discovery in this ancient land. Begin with a drive to the Pyramids plateau at Giza. Down the ages, the mighty Great Pyramid of Khufu (Gr. Cheops) and its companion pyramids of Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mycerinus) have amazed countless visitors. Entrance to the Great Pyramid is limited and controlled in situ. Next, visit the nearby Solar Boat museum, view the Queen's pyramids, visit the granite mortuary temple of Khafre and view the Sphinx. Then drive to Memphis & Saqqara and enjoy lunch at the Mena House Oberoi Hotel.
Little remains of Memphis, first Capital of a united Lower & Upper Egypt - the stones were plundered to build Cairo – but a colossal supine statue of Ramesses ll still remains. On the plateau above lies Saqqara, cemetery for Memphis used continuously for 3,000 years. See the first Pyramid - a stepped structure built for King Djoser c. 2650 BC, as well as one of the tombs, where much color is still visible. Return to the hotel late this afternoon and relax at the bar for cocktails before dinner. Perhaps you can take a cool dip in the pool or ask the hotel to arrange a guide to take you shopping for keepsakes, jewelry or treasures.

Day 10| Cairo
Enjoy your last full day in Cairo. Your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel after breakfast and begin your day with a visit to the nearby Citadel, a medieval fortress from the time of Saladin. Visit the Alabaster Mosque built for Mohammed Ali, modeled after the one in Istanbul. Next, your guide will take you on a whirlwind visit to the ancient bazaar known as Khan El Khalili souk. Here, guests can wander the ancient cobblestone walkways and witness living history: this bazaar has existed since 1382 and represents Cairo's rich past as a trading city. Visitors will find an assortment of treasures and keepsakes. Silver, gold, jewels, beads and baubles can be found in myriad colorful stalls. It is truly eye candy for shoppers.
Lunch will be at the Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant and afterwards, you will continue to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities which houses treasures spanning 5,000 years from Egypt's pre-history to the Greco-Roman period. Along with the famed grave goods of Tutankhamun and statue of King Khafre, are the less well known images of Akhenaten and endless statuary. The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy, relax and refresh before dinner.

Day 11| Cairo - Departure
This morning, you will be met by your guide after a leisurely breakfast. Depending on your flight arrangements, you may have time for additional shopping at an ancient bazaar in Cairo.
As you prepare to leave, your mind may drift back to the leopard, the dolphins, and the boy-King of Egypt, every detail will forever be imprinted in your heart and soul.
